We want a pitcher...

Wyatt

This is a picture of our nephew Wyatt. He loves action figures. He calls them his "Guys". He came to watch Josh's game last weekend. He was late because he had to stop and play with the penguins at EG Park. Some people call them geese, some people call them penguins!

Brothers...

Darryl, Don, Darren, David and Danny
David's brother Darren, guy in the middle, got married a few weeks ago. The brother's decided to spend the day together and go shooting and just hang out. David's brother Dennis couldn't make it for all the Friday festivities. David woke up at like 4 am that morning. I think he had a great day. He talked about it and just laughed a lot.

And then they all came home telling some crazy joke about a brown cow and a brown chicken who went on a date...thanks Darryl!

Big League Dreams

As a family, we love the sport of baseball. Josh and I are Yankee fans. David and Rachel think the A's are better. We watch games on TV. You will find us almost everyday of the week at a ball field this time of the year. Josh was asked to play in a tournament this last weekend with his cousin Kyle and Uncle Todd. They had played together once before in Ceres for Josh's team, Galt Thunder.

This weekend we went back to Manteca to play at Big League Dreams Park. This is an awesome place to play ball. We played on Wrigley Field this weekend and then over in Tracy. The name of the team in Capitol Edge Beasts. It was nice to play in the summer there. Thunder had played two other tourneys but in the fall and winter. The cool thing was playing at night and to have all the lights on. Kyle is taller than Josh, however he had on his cleats still and Josh did not. So that makes up for about a good inch. But remember Kyle...Josh is older!

HE'S BACK...early!

You might have heard about the fires in Pollock Pines on Thursday. The kids were evacuated after lunch from Sly Park. The fire was within 10 miles of their facility. They were told to pack up their things and then they were loaded onto buses and sent down to a local high school to wait for everyone. The kids came home without their gear. Hopefully it will come back today. They could not take chances with the wind shifting.

Of course, Josh complained about coming home early and he missed a few fun things like building his shelter and performing his skit. He was really upset about that one...HAHA!

And then of course he wanted to know why he had to go to school today???

Where is Josh???

Strange but the house is much quieter this week. Our nights are free. No baseball this week. Josh is at Sly Park for Science Camp.

Did you go to Sly Park in 6th grade??? I did and I went again with Rachel 2 years ago. Both times I was in Manzanita cabin/dorm. It looked the same as it did when I was 12. I walked into the same room I slept in 23ish years ago...WEIRD! We went in the winter with Rachel and it snowed almost the whole week. I was not prepared for that. I grew up in Elk Grove, not in the mountains or in the snow. We still made silk-screened t-shirts and Josh will make one too. It is kinda cool to be able to say, "I did that as a kid."

Josh will be home on Friday. I am waiting for them to post their cabin pictures on-line, so I can see which cabin he is in! I can't wait until Friday, to hear his stories of the camp and then to go to baseball practice...

This may not come as a surprise...

Some people say that I have a big mouth.
This is not up for debate though!

But now there is proof...

Right before Easter at school, we had a contest to see which staff person could shove the most PEEPS in their trap AND I WON! 10 of them. This is not one of my proudest moments but the kids at school thought it was great. You cannot tell by this picture with all the peeps shoved in my mouth, that I have lost almost 40 lbs. And trust me, I won't be eating Peeps for a long time!

I use to like Peeps, now I am not so sure...

Darren Gets Married

David's brother Darren tied the knot this past weekend. His new wife is Holly Harris. HH...it was HH before too, kinda funny! heehee. They have been dating a couple of years. She is funny and I have enjoyed getting to know her. She and Darren suit each other very well.

We had a fun reception. Lot's of crazy music. They got married at Frasinetti's Winery
off of Florin Road. I got to do Cassidy's crazy hair. It took me almost an hour to comb threw her crazy curls and dry and straighten it. That girl has her fathers hair...darn you Darryl! We had a nice lunch there.

Afterward we went to a park and had a picnic at a park off of La Riviera blvd for dinner. Shellee and her family came out.

For some reason I did not end up with a picture of the 2 of them. I need to get one and post it!

Happy Birthday Candice!!

Candice and Rachel have been best friends since 1st grade. Unknown to me at the time, I went to EGHS with her mom, Debbie. These two girls some how ended up being BFF's before we realized we even knew each other! AND IT HAS BEEN A GREAT RIDE EVER SINCE! Candice is crazy. I love her! She has brought much laughter to our home. Sometimes I do not know what to think about her! I am glad that she is a part of our family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CB!
